Project Life 2016: January

February 5, 2016 | No comments

I finished my Project Life pages for January. It ended up being four pages, although not strictly corresponding to one page per week. I’m so happy I started this project again, and I’m in love with the 9 by 12 format.

What: Lots of grey and craft paper with minor pops of colour.

New features: I abandoned the calendar and recap cards I’ve used previous years, and instead started the month with a “hello January” card and ended with a card of highlights from the month.

Special for these spreads: I included two pictures of the colour spectra jigsaw puzzle Em and I did a couple of weeks ago. It’s one of the hardest puzzles we’ve done. The card in between the two photos contains the information from the back of the box, stating that the colors in this puzzle have been arranged to suggest that there exists no precise point on the chromatic scale at which one color becomes another; the puzzle can be considered complete even when its pieces are disassembled and mixed together in the box but Em and I were determined to finish it.

Favourite cards: The black and white photos of my aunt laying a jigsaw puzzle, and of one of the many rounds of mahjong Em, Ben and I played this month. The black and grey filler-card on the last page is actually a photo of my new iPhone case.

Card count: Photo (14), Journal (12), Filler (3),
Photo count: Camera (0), iPhone (12), Screenshot (2)
