Bookish (and not so Bookish) Thoughts #36

1. God Jul! Merry Christmas! In my family, we celebrate two Christmases – Swedish Christmas on the 24th and American Christmas on the 25th. For the Swedish dinner, we make the traditional Christmas ham, and for the following day, we do the turkey. Plus all the side dishes for both days. So much food.

2. I had a great time in San Francisco last week, attending a huge conference, and seeing friends I haven’t seen in too long. Now I’m in Las Vegas enjoying some much needed family time (with all the amazing food).

3. My aunt and I went to see the Nutcracker ballet last weekend. It was amazing. It gave me all the holiday feels.

4. My family is obsessed with puzzles, especially during the holidays. We started light with two 500 pieces and two 1000 pieces puzzles in the last week, and now we’re ready to attack a 2000 piece one.

5. Each year, I pick a book to read on Christmas. This year, I read a classic – A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens – but I went with the audiobook version narrated by Jim Dale. It was epic.
