Bookish (and not so Bookish) Thoughts #27

1. I haven’t done any of these posts in over a month. That’s how busy I’ve been. The official countdown to the defense has started, and I have so much left to do. So. Much. That I’m a bit stressed is an understatement.

2. I’ve been so busy that I haven’t been reading as much as usual. And that is making me more stressed. See my problem?

3. Best idea ever!

4. I need to stop borrowing so many books from the library, and start reading all the books I’ve collected in the last 4 years (before I move and either will have to pay a fortune to ship them all, or sell/donate them).

5. This made me want to go on a road trip. Or ten.

6. We did an impromptu pizza-movie night yesterday. We finally watched The Longest Ride and it was a lot better than I had expected (and the soundtrack was really good). Probably my favourite since The Notebook. You never really know what to expect from Nicholas Sparks novels/movies (except the mandatory rain scene). They can be great (The Notebook, A Walk to Remember) or painfully bad (Dear John, The Best in Me). When we finished the movie, my first thought was that I need to read the book.

7. This made me smile. Especially #14 and 15.

8. Such a great mashup.
