All Roads Lead Home, Make a Plan

Summer Manifesto

June 25, 2014 | One comment

I’m leaving for Europe tonight. For me, this is when summer truly starts. I’m swapping Hawaii, beaches, and the humidity for 6 weeks in my beloved ‘Norden’. It will be a busy but great summer: first I’m going to Iceland for a week to attend summer school, then to Sweden for 3.5 weeks (with a short visit to Denmark), and then back to Iceland for another two weeks of field work.

I don’t know when I will have a chance to go back again, so I’m planning to take full advantage of the time in Europe and do all the things I used to take for granted (and now really miss). I’m looking forward to, among other things:

I’ll still update the blog, because I’m sure I will have plenty of things to share, but it will probably be on a more relaxed summer schedule (because, you know, I’ll be busy appreciating the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, relaxing, and enjoying my vacation and time away from the office).
