What a Wonderful Web We Weave | 2

One of the many reasons the web is a wonderful place is that information about everything from here to there is only a mouse click or two away. Here are the favourite random things I’ve learned about lately.

Christmas is approaching quickly, and in the rest of the world, winter is here. I’ve been complaining a lot lately about the lack of seasons in Hawaii (the only changes we see here over the year are a little more or less rain and a temperature change of about 10 degrees). No matter how many years I live here, palm trees and green grass at Christmas will never feel right. The lack of snow is making me homesick. However, reading about this small town in Alaska that is dark for 65 days straight kind of makes me appreciate the sun.

I’m always amazed over how big and varied our world is. It makes me want to travel more. Maybe I should visit these 5 puzzling international borders? Or maybe I should go to Australia and try some of these exotic edible treats? On the subject of eating, these last few weeks, I’ve been obsessive about eating Kiwis (the fruit, not the bird or the people). Did you know that the kiwifruit is a genetic freak? Neither did I.
