I didn’t get much reading done the last two weeks, but I finished Without Mercy by Jefferson Bass (★★★★), the 10th book in the Body Farm series.

I listened to Raven Black by Ann Clevees (★★★★), the first book in her Shetland Island series about Inspector Jimmy Perez. It was almost a 5 star book, and I cannot wait to read more from the series.

I also listened to Grave Secrets by Kathy Reichs (★★★), the fifth book about forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan (the book series that the tv show Bones is based on). I’ve read a few other books from the series before, and didn’t like them, but the audiobook was not too bad so I think I’ll give the series another chance in audiobook form.

This week I’m finishing The Blackhouse by Peter May, the first in a trilogy about Detective Inspector Fin Macleod in Edinburgh. It’s a great book and I cannot wait to read the other two in the series.

I’m currently listening to Déjà Dead by Kathy Reichs, the first book about forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan. So far, it is not quite as good as Grave Secrets.

I’m in the mood for some light Christmas-reading, so I’m planning on reading Home For Christmas by Nora Roberts, a romance novel set in New Hampshire.
