Last week I finished Blood Work by Michael Connelly (★★★), another book set in the Harry Bosch universe but focusing on the former FBI profiler Terry McCaleb. It was ok, but not one of my favourites.

I much more preferred Blood Hollow by William Kent Krueger (★★★★), the fourth book about Corcoran “Cork” O’Connor, a former Chicago cop living in the north Minnesota woods. I had not read any other books from the series, but I will definitely keep my eye out for more of them.

Let week I also read The Murder That Never Was by Andrea Kane (★★★), the fifth book in the Forensic Instincts series. I really enjoy this series, but this book didn’t quite grab me as much as some of the previous books. The plot felt a bit too forced and the mystery/case was a bit predictable.

I also read Den mörka ängeln (published in English as Dark Angel) by Mari Jungstedt (★★★★). It’s the sixth book about Police Inspector Anders Knutas on Gotland, Sweden.

This week I’m reading The Bone Orchard by Paul Doiron, the fifth book about former game warden Mike Bowditch in Maine.

I’m also reading the spy thriller The Travelers by Chris Pavone, and Den dubbla tystnaden by Mari Jungstedt, the seventh book about Detective Anders Knutas.

I’m currently listening to This Body of Death by Elizabeth George, the 16th book in the Inspector Lynley series.
